Taylor and Dave were married this past July in beautiful Durham, North Carolina! With both of them being Duke Alum and pretty much having that eat, sleep, breathe mentality for Duke (Taylor played Lacrosse and Dave played Football ... did I also mention they both now work for Duke??), Durham was a no-brainer location for them to bring their closest friends and family together to celebrate their marriage! Their ceremony was held at nonother than the gorgeous Duke Chapel with their reception following at Angus Barn's Bay 7 on the American Tobacco Campus.

We had so much fun planning with Dave and Taylor! It was how planning a wedding (or any event) should be - fun, meaningful, and all centered around their love for each other! We were so grateful to have met them a few years back when they were readers at Emma and Matt's Durham Wedding. Taylor and Dave opted to go pretty traditional for the wedding and not do a first look. The smile on Dave's face as Taylor walked through the doors at Duke Chapel gave us all the feels and is one of the main reasons we love when couples decide against doing a first look! The celebration continued at Bay 7. A mix of long rectangular tables filled with lush greenery, florals, and candles from end to end and large round tables with beautifully created centerpieces from Embellished Blooms filled the space. GetLit Special Event Lighting helped add that extra elegant touch with some draping and lighting around the room. Of course, no reception is complete without amazing entertainment! After Party Experience Band outdid themselves. Y'all this band is talented, energetic, and so easy to work with! They had the dance floor packed all night long. Even when Taylor's uncle, Doug Aldrich did an impromptu performance! Taylor and Dave ended the reception with a sparkler exit and sped off into the night!
