Merz Aesthetics Holiday Party

We are thrilled to have partnered with Merz Aesthetics for their 2022 corporate holiday party! The event was hosted at one of our favorite local venues, The Umstead Hotel and Spa. This was the company's first holiday party since pre-pandemic and they asked us to transform the Umstead ballroom with “Instagrammable moments” and a light hearted guest experience.

After being assigned the Winter Wonderland theme, we leaned into a crisp blue, white, and silver palette. Since the meal style was a buffet, we opted for mixed seating that included chic leather sofas, high top tables with barstools, some lounge vignettes, and LED glow tables.

A modern floral design included white amaryllis, baby's breath, nerine lilies, blue thistle, and mixed holiday greens. The dance floor and tent installations of baby’s breath clouds and floating snowflakes were two of our favorite elements! The star of the ballroom was the dance floor backdrop with marquee letters surrounded by an oversized balloon display that also had pops of baby’s breath throughout.

We went for a large statement glow bar that was under the tent on the terrace off of the ballroom. The tent also held additional seating and high top glow tables.

The use of production lighting made a significant impact on the transformation of the otherwise warm, earth toned space. A combination of blue uplighting with snowflake projections really brought together the entire design to create the cool, wintry ambiance that we were aiming for.

While it was meant to be non-denominational, we still wanted to create a festive spirit for the holiday celebration. We had lights strung into the hanging baby’s breath installations as well as the tall white branches that were in the larger table arrangements. Of course, there were lots of snowy trees lit up throughout the ballroom as well!

Guests had a blast dancing the night away and snapping pics in the photobooth. It was a lively evening and a meaningful reminder of how much we missed such merriment while large events were on hold during the pandemic!
