It was love at first sip for James and Melissa who met while drinking an ice cold beverage at He’s Not Here, a beloved local landmark in the college town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. After falling in love on campus, this sweet couple left North Carolina following graduation to chase dreams in New York City; however, Carolina blue skies and warm southern hospitality called James and Melissa back to Chapel Hill to begin their journey as husband and wife.

Melissa and James had a perfect southern spring day for their wedding in April on the beautiful Carolina Inn lawn. Their day was elegant, classic, and stunning! Pops of carolina blue could be found throughout the day in the decor as well as her bridesmaids dresses. It was a no brainer that they would hop over to The Old Well for a few pictures! Embellished Blooms did a wonderful job of adorning the Carolina Inn columns with beautiful florals and creeping vines to make the perfect ceremony backdrop. The bouquets and centerpieces were also perfect representations of Melissa’s stunning style!

After enjoying a perfect spring evening outside for the ceremony and cocktail hour, guest headed inside to the timeless Carolina Inn ballroom. It was a perfect fit for them since their love story began only a few blocks away at UNC! The dance floor was filled with fun, dancing and laughter to the sound of Attraction Band all night! At the end of the night we sent the newlyweds off by a grand sparkler exit to begin their new lives together!!
