After waiting 2 years (tons more if you count the years they dated!) to finally say ‘I Do’ (thanks to the C-Word), we could not have asked for a more perfect early Summer day in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina at Overlook Barn. We’d say Lexy and Adam’s wedding day was our most anticipated postponement of 2020. Our team first met this loving couple when we planned Lexy’s sister’s wedding back in 2018, so imagine our excitement when Lexy told us Adam finally proposed!

Adam’s family is originally from the Boone area of NC, so it was no surprise they landed on one of the most scenic views in the State. Overlook Barn provided the perfect backdrop to host their outdoor field ceremony which overlooked (now you get why they call the venue what they do!) the rolling hills of Beech Mountain. Lexy and Adam decided to keep to tradition when it came to seeing each other prior to the ceremony and decided to wait until Lexy walked down the aisle with her dad. This was probably one of my favorite moments of the day because it was so incredibly them. Having an outdoor ceremony you can only control so much. Well when the wind decided to pick up and blow Lexy’s veil off mid-walk, we just chalk it up to Adam being blown away seeing Lexy.

After the ceremony, guests were welcomed to Cliffside Barn for cocktails and appetizers before making their way into the main barn for dinner and dancing.

We can’t thank The Pingree’s enough for not only trusting our team with one daughter’s wedding but both of their daughters! And we can’t thank all the vendors that worked tirelessly with us to wade through uncharted waters and postpone Lexy and Adam’s wedding to a time where we could all celebrate safely with their friends and family!
