Did you know that in addition to weddings, A Southern Soiree also plans corporate events? Corporate parties can be so much fun with the endless possibilities for themes and over-the-top details! They also give us a space to play with rental pieces that we don’t use as often for weddings.
Back in April, we had the opportunity to partner with Raleigh Union Station and Cottage Luxe on a corporate styled shoot. The vision of the shoot was to display how we can utilize large spaces and unconventional venues (it is a working train station after all!) for a comfortable, enjoyable, and cohesive guest experience. We were going for an event that maintained a level of professionalism while also encouraged relaxed conversation and mingling.
To show how we can come up with subtle yet clever branding elements, we asked our friends at Industrious if we could use their brand to design our mock event around. You’ll notice the Industrious bee logo made its way onto several pieces, including some end tables in the (HUGE!) lounge that Cottage Luxe hooked us up with, complete with beehive lanterns from Get Lit as another nod to their bee logo.
Farm tables in an industrial downtown train station? Yep, that’s right! Farm tables and upholstered dining chairs softened the space while the marble chargers (Cottage Luxe) and other tabletop details (CE Rental) anchored these more traditional pieces to the surrounding urban architecture.
English Garden Florist supplied florals, and our favorite part of their work for the project were the potted trees down the center of the room that resembled in color the steel beams throughout the ceiling of the venue.
A big thanks to Raleigh Union Station for inviting us to be a part of this event in their space, as well as Richard Barlow for photographing it all!
