James and Suzanne’s Durham Wedding!

Kate Spade bridesmaid’s dresses, gold geometric shape accents, and monogrammed wine glasses…these are just a few of the details of Suzanne and James’ Duke University Chapel and Bay 7 wedding celebration. We had so much fun, and we are very excited to share a few images from their day!

Suzanne and James met and fell in love at Duke University so they knew that Durham, North Carolina was the perfect destination…not just to say “I do” but also to bring their vision of a playful yet sophisticated affair to life. The details of their day were designed around both the gorgeous Kate Spade bridesmaid’s dresses and the groom’s favorite color – orange! Bet you were expecting Duke blue, right? Bright blooms, bow details, and black and white stripes transformed Bay 7 into a chic soiree with purposeful accents of fresh fruit and geometric shapes designed to catch the guests’ eyes at every glance. From the modern cake to the custom stationary designed by the bride’s cousins to the hexagonal escort cards, the details of the day were perfect!

It didn’t end there! Guests were treated to an amazing meal provided by the Angus Barn, a game of “Where’s Waldo?” (where the guests traded a Waldo costume throughout the evening) and non-stop dancing to the sounds of DJ Randy. These special details created constant laughter and fun, and made the event even more memorable for Suzanne and James.

We are so thankful to our sweet Bride and Groom for allowing us to be part of their wedding celebration, and we wish them a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness!
