Hope you’re ready! This wedding is a stunner!
Emma and Matt were married last month in a ceremony and reception at the beautifully restored Duke University Chapel
and Bay 7 on Durham’s American Tobacco Campus. From the vibrant colors in the linens and
florals to the props used at the Turtle Booth, everything about this wedding screamed Matt and
These High School sweethearts were so much fun to get to know and work with for their big
day! The love and determination between the two of them was undeniable. It was always a dream
of Emma and Matt’s to get married at Duke University Chapel (they both went to school there and Matt played football for the University). We remember when they first reached out to talk about their wedding; Emma mentioned she would wait until 2023 if she had to! Luckily, they didn’t have to wait that long 😉 If you don’t know about the chapel, here are the important parts: couples are allowed to reserve their date only one year in advance, AND it’s known for its intense camp
outs! There was no exception for Emma and Matt, AND they were eyeing a specific date due to Matt’s
intense sports schedule. When Emma and Matt set up camp – they were FIRST in line but it was almost a full week before they could officially reserve their date! Fortunately, they got their ideal date and time and they deserved it after all that waiting!
As the planning continued, we knew this was going to be a crazy, fun, and stunning wedding!
The linens, stationery, and details were focused on the gorgeous bridal bouquet Watered Garden
created! Emma’s mom collected the beautiful pristine milk glass pieces for the centerpieces which added such a special touch.Vibrant summer colors were the perfect pop for their July wedding with the girls in a soft pink and the guys in a striking navy suit. A custom Snapchat filter and the slow motion
videobooth added fun for the guests on the night of the event. Overall, it was an amazing party and celebration of the love these two share, and the guests had a blast! The entire day was filled with so much love, laughter, and some amazing dance moves! DJ Steve Stowe kept the dance floor packed all night! If guests weren’t dancing, then they were going into The Turtle Booth – you have to check out their slow-mo video (see link within the caption of the images!). Emma, Matt, and their friends and family were such an awesome crowd. Thanks for trusting us with all the details for the wedding!
Also, thank you so much JAGG photography for capturing all the emotions and beautiful moments of their big day!
