We are so excited to share Kimberly and Fritz’s Chinese-inspired, Downtown Raleigh Wedding from this past March! Fate was definitely on their side the day these two met and their love story could not be anymore picture perfect! Who would have thought that a girl from North Carolina and a boy from Wisconsin would meet in China, fall in love and eventually get married here in her home town!? That’s just what happened to these two and we are so happy for them!
Kimberly and Fritz hosted their ceremony at the beautiful First Presbyterian Church in downtown Raleigh. Not only is this the family church for Kimberly, it’s also one of the oldest churches in Raleigh and is celebrating its 200th birthday this year! After the ceremony, guests were able to explore downtown Raleigh for a bit before heading to The State Club on NC State’s Centennial Campus. Since China was such an important part in Kimberly and Fritz’s relationship, they wanted to incorporate some Chinese details into the reception.
The State Club was perfect for this! The red touches in the venue provided a beautiful backdrop for hosting the reception.
After dinner and some dancing, guests were surprised with a Chinese Troupe Dance! The drum set the stage with its entrance, and a life-sized Chinese dog followed behind! The troupe performed a skit involving Kimberly and Fritz. It made for great pictures and tons of laughter. After the troupe performance,
Empty Pocket filled the room with music until the end of the night. They had all the guests on the dance floor and Kimberly and some of her girls even got on the mic!
It was such a wonderful night and we are so thankful that Kimberly, Fritz, and their families allowed us to be part of it all!

Love this shot of Kimberly and some of her girls waiting for the ceremony to begin!

She’s ready to get married!

This was funny! Kimberly received a notification on her phone letting her know it was time to get MARRIED!!

Such a sweet moment with Kimberly and her dad before she walked down the aisle!

YAY! They are married!

During one of Fritz’s visits to Raleigh, Kimberly showed him the lovely Sir Walter Raleigh statue .. Fritz instantly laughed as he saw good ole’ Sir Walter dressed up. They were hoping he would be dressed up for their wedding day, and of course … he was!

Kimberly and Fritz incorporated some of their items they collected while in China into the decor!

Y’all! This was awesome – NC State students preformed a surprise show for their guests with custom Chinese costumes!
