We are so excited to share this fun-loving couple’s story with you! Emily and Paul are getting married this June (!!) at Rock Quarry Farm in Chapel Hill! Their wedding is going to be full of warmth, love, and of course, overall fun! Emily and Paul love the outdoors, as you can tell from their engagement pictures by Azul photography and their proposal story below. One of the main elements we are excited about for the wedding, is enhancing the outdoor elements of Rock Quarry Farm and bringing them to life inside the reception barn. Covering the ceiling in lanterns, moss table runners, and beautiful bright flowers are just some of the ideas that are being discussed! We can’t wait for everything to come together!
Thank you Azul Photographer for capturing Emily and Paul’s personalities and love for one another in their engagement images below!

We asked Emily and Paul a few questions about themselves and the wedding planning thus far. Take a look at what they had to say 🙂
How did you and Paul meet?
In law school in Berkeley, California.
How did Paul propose?
Our first date was hiking this beautiful trail in Tilden Park in Berkeley. After law school, we were living in LA and visited Berkeley one last time before moving back to the east coast. Paul took me on the same hike we went on our first date and proposed!
So far, what aspect of planning the wedding has been the most enjoyable?
Visualizing the day and watching each piece fall into place to make that vision happen.
Do you have any advice for recently engaged brides to help them stay stress-free throughout the planning process?
Get a wedding planner! It will save you countless hours and make the planning process far more efficient and less stressful.
What are you most excited about for the day of the wedding?
The getting married part of course! And sharing the day with family and friends, some of whom I haven’t see in ages, and dancing the night away!
What are three words to describe the feel of your upcoming wedding?
Natural, colorful, cozy
What made you decide to hire a planner?
I knew the planning process would not play to my strengths and that I would be very busy starting my new job as a lawyer. Also, not being from the area, I wanted someone who knew the local vendors, knew the timeline of what needed to happen and when, and was extremely organized. And that’s just what I found with Gina!
