What do you get when you combine an amazing couple, a wedding, and New Year’s Eve? You get one absolutely unforgettable day! Kate and Ross decided to host their wedding celebration on New Year’s Eve to ring in their new life and the new year together! Chapel Hill provided the perfect backdrop for their big event! Not only is it the where Kate and Ross met, it’s also the place they call home! The ceremony was held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, with dinner, dancing, and midnight merriment following at The Carolina Inn.
A New Year’s Eve wedding wouldn’t be complete if it didn’t have sparkle of some kind! We decided to keep the overall look very timeless and classic. We dressed up the Old Well Ballroom with black sequined guest table linens and added touches of gold with the tall centerpiece arrangements, table numbers, and decorative twin bell clocks!
As midnight drew near, we passed out party hats, light up tambourines, and noise makers … basically all the essentials you need to bring in the New Year! Randy lead us in the countdown .. 10, 9, 8, 7 ….everyone was screaming, gathering around the ones they loved … 3, 2, 1 … HAPPY NEW YEAR! Get Lit’s staff slowly pulled the strings and released the gold, white, and clear balloons. It was the perfect ending to an amazing day and the perfect start to Kate and Ross’ new year and new life together!
Thank you to all the amazing vendors that made Kate and Ross’ wedding a New Years to remember!
