We are thrilled to share Liesl and Brandon’s wedding with you! This sweet couple said “I Do!” at The State Club this past September. If you haven’t seen the engagement blog we posted on them, make sure to go check it out. We absolutely love the story of how they met and of course, how Brandon proposed under the stars!
Since NC State University (and Raleigh) is like a second home to both Liesl and Brandon, The State Club was the absolute perfect spot for them to get married. When the wedding weekend approached, we were excited to see that we could not even have special ordered better weather for their outdoor ceremony. Embellished Blooms created a subtle touch on the existing arbor that framed Liesl and Brandon during the ceremony. Soft green and white foliage draped the front of the arbor, which blended nicely with the lush background. As planners, we love when couples incorporate personal touches into the wedding – like asking a family member or family friend to officiate the wedding. Liesl and Brandon asked a close friend to officiate theirs, however they put a bit of a twist on it! The processional started and we sent out the grandparents and parents, then the groom and groomsmen, and the lovely bridesmaids. When it was time to send out the stunning bride, one thing was missing…where was their officiant?? Luckily, Liesl and Brandon had filled us in on this little surprise. Their officiant was pretending to be a groomsman! So while all the guests thought we had a no-show officiant, one of Brandon’s “groomsmen” stepped up and “offered” to perform the ceremony! After the initial shock, the guests caught on – the helpful groomsman (now the officiant) miraculously produced a notebook with a personal ceremony, custom tailored to Liesl and Brandon!
Once the ceremony concluded, guests were welcomed to the back patio area that overlooked the water for some specialty drinks (Spicy Margaritas and Moscow Mules!) and delicious hors d’eouvres! DJ SpclGst welcomed guests inside for dinner and a fun night of dancing. Unfortunately, the night had to come to an end eventually, but what better way than to leave with a dramatic sparkler exit!
Thank you Liesl and Brandon for letting us be part of such a wonderful day, and thank you to Allison Vrhovac for capturing their beautiful day!

Liesl and Brandon wanted their guests to leave with a taste of North Carolina! What better way than doughnut holes from Krispy Kreme?
Thank you to all the wonderful vendors that helped make their day amazing!
