Kate and Gus’ Durham Wedding!

I’m excited to share this wedding with you! Kate and Gus were married this past April in Kate’s hometown of Durham! We had so much fun planning their wedding even though Kate and Gus were living all the way in California. I may have been jealous every now and then during our phone planning sessions when it was freezing cold here, yet they were getting ready to head out to the beach for some surfing! Luckily, Kate had the help of her wonderful mother throughout the planning as well. Between the four of us, I’d say we came up with one of the most fun and personal weddings they could have ever imagined! Their ceremony was held outdoors in the fields of Duke Homestead. Kate’s brother officiated the wedding, Gus and some of the guys built their arbor, and one of my favorite touches was the live music performed by some of their closest friends!

After the ceremony, everyone headed over to The Cookery for some delicious food, catered by Durham Catering, and probably one of the greatest parties of their lives 😉 Mark McNally had the dance floor packed all night long (and let me add … it was some of the best dance moves I’ve seen in a long time!). They wrapped up the night with a special song that EVERYONE knew (written by the talented videographer/friend), serenading Kate and Gus.
