We are excited to share Sarah and Jonathan’s engagement session with you! Sarah and Jonathan are getting married this weekend (!!) at Rose Hill Plantation. Their ceremony will be taking place outside by the breathtaking gazebo and dinner and dancing will follow inside Nathan Hall. They are such a fun and loving couple and we know the day is going to be filled with tons of smiles, love, and laughter (maybe some happy tears too!). We asked Sarah and Jonathan a few questions about their engagement and the wedding planning process. Take at look at their answers below 🙂

How did Jonathan propose?
It was Christmas morning and just the 2 of us. He woke up at the crack of dawn needing to “wrap presents.” When I was finally allowed to come downstairs he led me to the couch and got down on bended knee to ask for my hand in marriage! Best part was getting to celebrate with both our families later that day. Wouldn’t change a thing!
So far, what aspect of planning the wedding has been the most enjoyable?
The venue search! Loved looking at all the amazing places and finding new locations I didn’t even know existed.
Do you have any advice for recently engaged brides to help them stay stress-free throughout the planning process?
Give yourself plenty of time, don’t sweat the small things and hire A Southern Soiree to do your wedding coordination. Trust me, it is so worth it!
What are you most excited about for the day of the wedding?
Marrying my best friend and seeing the look on his face when I come down the aisle.
What are three words to describe the feel of your upcoming wedding?
Relaxed, Joyful, and Beautiful.
What made you decide to hire a planner?
As a corporate event planner, I know first hand the crucial details that go into planning a successful event. Most people think hiring a planner is an added cost, but really they can save you money with their vendor relationships. The peace of mind knowing my vision will become my reality is priceless!
