Bridal Party Gifts

March 27, 2014

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with Bailey’s Fine Jewelry where they will be writing a monthly guest blog post on our blog and we will do the same for them!  This month’s post has to do with a question we get asked about often by our brides… Bridal Party Gift Ideas! Check our their post below for some great gift ideas and thanks for stopping by!

Hi y’all! We’re so excited to partner with A Southern Soiree as guest bloggers! Each month, you’ll see a new post from us, featuring bridal style, wedding dress trends, gift ideas, and so much more! We hope you enjoy our little part of A Southern Soiree!

Today, we want to offer our suggestions on bridal party gifts. Sometimes an after-thought, bridesmaid and groomsman gifts are the perfect way to thank the special friends and family in your lives for playing such a huge part in your big day!

As always, ladies first! There seem to be ideas to fit every taste, but we landed on three ideas that will work for any budget and will certainly please any bridesmaid!

Jewelry. Certainly an old stand-by, jewelry is a great way to continue the cohesive look of your bridal party but also makes for a fabulous present! Your bridesmaids will cherish the bauble (or baubles!) you present them and it will always remind them of your big day! Be it classic pearl studs or a beautiful monogrammed necklace, you can’t go wrong with jewelry!

Spa Day. Treat your bridesmaids to a wonderful day of pampering! A manicure-pedicure outing with your bridal party creates memories and allows for some quality bonding! If it’s in the budget, splurge on hair and makeup for all your bridesmaids! They will love feeling like movie stars and there’s nothing like getting ready together to start your big day off with a festive atmosphere!

Personalized Tote Bags. A classic southern staple, monogrammed bags are sure to please everyone in your party! You can fill them with anything: a special note to each bridesmaid, something fun to use at the reception like sunglasses or collegiate pompoms, or some necessities to get them through the big day, the possibilities are endless! It also makes for easy transport between venues so that each bridesmaid has something to carry their things in!

Now, on to the gents! Your groom will most likely have a few ideas, but in case he’s drawing a blank, we’ve listed a few great options below!

Monogrammed cuff links. A favorite amongst southern weddings, monogrammed cufflinks are a practical yet thoughtful gift sure to please every groomsman. They can use them the day of the wedding and will always have something to remember the day with!

Cocktail glasses. A newer trend we’ve been seeing that is starting to take the place of monogrammed coolers, giving the groomsman cocktail glasses, like Waterford Old Fashioned glasses or high ball glasses along with their favorite bottle of alcohol, this is a gift that is exactly what the men in our lives like: practical and delicious!

Outing for the Group. This option is truly open to your imagination! Some men have a group of guys that love to play golf and organize a round for the day of the wedding. Others that are having weddings closer to the coast go for deep sea fishing tours! We love the idea of getting the guys out of everyone’s hair for a few hours! Your groom can plan the day around things he and his friends love and it will certainly set the tone for the day!

We hope we’ve given you some great ideas for your bridesmaid and groomsman gifts! Let us know if you have any great ideas or what you did for your own wedding—we love hearing from you! Thanks for following along. We can’t wait till next time!
