Taylor and Jarrod are getting married this July! Their ceremony will be at Taylor’s family church, and the reception will follow at the gorgeous Prestonwood Country Club. They are such a sweet couple; we can’t wait for their big day! It’s going to be a wonderful celebration and we are very excited to share this time with them. Congratulations again, Taylor and Jarrod! Thank you Renee Sprink for the beautiful images from their engagement session! Take a look at a few questions we asked them about their upcoming wedding- see below!

How did Jarrod propose?
Jarrod proposed on April 27, 2012 in Myrtle Beach. We went down for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. When we first arrived, we went to play putt putt (I have never beaten him) and I won! I am sure he let me win on purpose ;). We headed back to the hotel and he told me that he had a present for me but he wanted to give it to me on the beach. He had already given me something I was confused and slightly annoyed as to why he couldn’t do it in the room. I eventually gave in and we went out to the beach. We walked and walked and walked some more ( and of course I was complaining). Then Jarrod stopped suddenly and faced me. That was honestly the first moment I had any clue what was happening. He got down on one knee and said “Taylor you are my best friend and I couldn’t imagine this life without you. Will you marry me? ” it took a couple of are you serious out of me before I finally said YES!
So far, what aspect of planning the wedding has been the most enjoyable?
I have really tried to enjoy the entire process. Although I haven’t planned much of the smaller details, I love how all of the big things are coming together to help me see what I want in the small details! And I loved taking our engagement pictures!
Do you have any advice for recently engaged brides to help them stay stress-free throughout the planning process?
I would say to keep an open mind but also know your likes and dislikes. It can be overwhelming if you do not have any direction. I would also say to trust your vendors. No matter which one: florist, photographer, planner, etc… All are experts because they have a ton of experience that is more valuable than spending all of your time coming up with it on your own.
What are you most excited about for the day of the wedding?
I can’t wait to see the look on Jarrod’s face when those church doors open! But I am also really looking forward to sharing our love story with the people we care about most in our lives.
What are three words to describe the feel of your upcoming wedding?
Timeless, elegant, but really fun!
What made you decide to hire a planner?
I have a good vision for what I wanted my wedding to look like. But I really wanted someone who could take my ideas and really bring it to life! I knew that someone with good experience with weddings would know what works and what doesn’t work. That is invaluable to me.
