We are excited to share with you what’s been going on around our office lately.  It’s been a busy past couple of months for us…lots of newly engaged couples, wedding shows, grand openings, and new adventures for our A Southern Soiree team!

This year we were honored to participate in two outstanding wedding shows. The first was the annual Carolina Inn Bridal Showcase. This year’s show was especially exciting for us; we helped put on the fashion show with Alexia’s Bridal, Bella Bridesmaid, Bernard’s Formalwear,  Joe Bunn DJ Company and Total Productions.  The second show was the Wedding Affair in North Hills held at the Renaissance Hotel.  We met some lovely couples at both shows and it was great fun catching up with some of our vendor friends as well as meeting new ones!

We also attended a welcome celebration for a brand new (old?) venue that opened in the heart of downtown Raleigh!  The Merrimon-Wynne house is a gorgeous historic home that has been fully renovated.  It’s a great location for anyone looking for a venue with tons of character and history.

In the last 4 years we could only have dreamed that A Southern Soiree would have grown this much!  We are pleased to share that we are branching outside of North Carolina.  Last year we did our first wedding in Charleston, South Carolina; next year we’re thrilled to do our first Virginia wedding in Charlottesville, Virginia at the Pippin Hill Vineyards!

And…we saved the biggest news for last!  Drum-roll please 🙂  A Southern Soiree was chosen as the winner of Triangle NACE’s Best Wedding Event over $30,000!  We were so excited to see the hard work of our very own Kailey Branham (and her bride and groom Leila and Bryan) pay off.
