Lauren and Derek: Downtown Raleigh Wedding!

Lauren and Derek were married in August of this year at beautiful Sacred Heart Cathedral, and were blessed with perfect weather for their ceremony! I began working with Lauren and Derek a year out from their wedding, and it was such a pleasure getting to know them. They are one of the sweetest couples I’ve worked with, and seeing their love for each other on their wedding day just made my heart melt!

Their reception was held at Cobblestone Hall, which was decorated beautifully with flowers in pink tones from English Garden The white lanterns hanging from the ceiling tied the look together, and their wedding embodied true southern romance! I loved the beautiful milk glass vases that were used for the tabletop decor; those were passed down through their family, so it was really special to have those as a part of their wedding.

Everyone had an amazing time dancing the night away (thank you to Frank from Joe Bunn DJ Company)! Lauren’s grandfather was so surprised when a special Polka song was played just for him – he loved it! We had to move Lauren and Derek’s special exit inside due to the rain at the end of the reception, but that didn’t keep the smiles from their faces! Congratulations again Lauren and Derek – thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!
