Katherine and Manny are getting married this June at Sacred Heart Cathedral and North Ridge Country Club. I am extremely excited for this wedding and to see all the gorgeous details come together. Katherine and Manny have so many unique details they are wanting to incorporate. Filipino food for Manny and bridal portraits from 3 generations are just some of the details. They have been such a pleasure to work with and I could not be more happy for them 🙂

We asked Katherine to answer a few questions about her thoughts on the wedding. Check out her answers below!
How did Manny propose?
We spent a long weekend in Williamsburg, Virginia last spring. Williamsburg is a special place for both of us. We had dinner at one of our favorite spots, the Williamsburg Inn. As we started to gather our things to leave, Manny told me he wanted to show me something. He led me to the hotel’s parlor and the room was filled with candles, chocolates and chocolate dipped strawberries (my favorite!). He got down on one knee and the rest is history. It was perfect!
So far, what aspect of planning the wedding has been the most enjoyable?
This is tough! I’ve really enjoyed meeting the different vendors and figuring out which would be the best fit based on our personalities and vision for our wedding. Choosing a photographer was one of the most important decisions for us. Capturing the emotion and beauty of a wedding through a camera lens is truly an art form. We can’t wait to see how our talented photographer documents the day.
Do you have any advice for recently engaged brides to help them stay stress-free throughout the planning process?
For brides that have a hectic schedule and can’t spend as much time as they might like planning, figure out the top two or three wedding-related decisions that are most important to you and your fiancé. Take your time thinking about these things. Also, try to make decisions in small bunches rather tackling everything at once. It’s amazing how things will start to fall into place. The time will fly by and before you know it, your big day will be here! Breathe and remember to have some fun along the way!
What are you most excited about for the day of the wedding?
I cannot wait to marry my best friend. We met the first day of college over twelve years ago, and we’re excited to take this next step together. Also, I can’t wait to see a year’s worth of planning and attention to detail take shape. We both have a lot of family and friends coming from out of state and are looking forward to getting everyone together to celebrate.
What are three words to describe the feel of your upcoming wedding?
Elegant, gracious, personal
What made you decide to hire a planner?
Throughout the planning process I’ve been in school full time working towards my MBA. As luck would have it I’ll finish my degree right before our wedding! Needless to say, life has been busy lately. I thought a planner could help save me time by making recommendations on vendors and keeping the planning process organized and on track. I think the level of coordination a planner provides throughout the planning process as well as the weekend of the wedding is invaluable. And as a bonus, these ladies are fun to work with!
