Kristen and Adam were married this past April at Lowes Grove Baptist Church and the reception was held at the beautiful Angus Barn Pavilions. Kristen and Adam were such a fun couple to work with and their wedding reflected just that! They wanted their wedding to tell the story of their journey together by focusing on the important details, which made for a very special day!
Not only did they have the couple that introduced them sing at their wedding ceremony and have Kristen’s sister sing the song for her Father and Daughter dance, but they also had a piece of art created just for them that was filled with various words telling the story of how they met and their life together. One of my favorite details from the wedding was the fudge bar that they had. The delicious fudge actually came from a small town in Michigan that Adam grew up in, called Frankenmuth. Frankenmuth resembles a German town and because of that Adam and Kristen decided to have a life size photo cutout made of the two wearing the traditional Bavarian attire- it was a huge hit! Guests loved taking photos beside of “them” throughout the night!
For their engagement photo session they chose to reenact scenes from the movie, “Dirty Dancing”, and they decided to carry out that theme into the reception. To carry out the theme, a team of dancers from Elevate came out at one point during the reception to dance to the song, “Dirty Bit”, by the Black Eyed Peas to get guests out on the dance floor. It was AMAZING! I will have to say that that was one of the BEST ways to get your guests immediately on the dance floor and to keep them there until the end of the reception!
Everyone had a blast and I was very excited to have been a part of such a fabulous wedding! It was such a pleasure working with both Kristen and Adam, and their families. Below are a few images from Big Star Photography of Kristen and Adam’s special day- thank you for capturing these moments!
