Madeleine and Derek St. Patty's Day Wedding!

Madeleine and Derek were married this past March on St. Patrick’s Day and what a fabulous and fun wedding it was! Their ceremony was held at St. Francis of Assisi in Raleigh and the reception took place at the newly remodeled TPC Wakefield Plantation. I got to know Madeleine and Derek when I helped plan Madeleine’s sister’s wedding back in August of 2010 at the Renaissance Hotel in North Hills. A lot has happened in the past year and a half since Jenee and Walker’s wedding… they now have a beautiful baby girl named Scarlett (see below for pictures)! I really enjoyed getting to know Madeleine and Derek throughout the planning process. We did a lot of the planning long distance since Madeleine and Derek currently live in Texas. Madeleine and Derek were AMAZING dancers (so much so that Derek ripped his pants doing some break-dancing towards the end of the night!) and their fun and light-hearted personalities showed through in all aspects of the wedding day.

Since it was St. Patrick’s Day, one of my favorite details from the wedding day was the Irish Bar complete with a Bailey’s Ice sculpture, shots of Bailey’s, and Irish Donut Holes with Whiskey Sauce (mmm!). We even had an Irish DJ for the wedding thanks to Mark McNally of Bunn DJ Company and Mark kept the dance floor packed the entire night! Thank you to the LaPlace family for trusting me to plan both Jenee and Madeleine’s weddings… it was a pleasure from start to finish!
