Wow! It’s hard to believe that 2011 is almost over. We have had an amazing year filled with wonderful weddings and events, new friends, and amazing business endeavors. Completing the year with 37 weddings, a brand new website design, an outstanding promotional video, and 2 fabulous weddings featured on Style Me Pretty (Salisbury Wedding and Chapel Hill Wedding ), we could not have asked for anything better! 2012 is shaping up to be an exceptional year and we can’t wait to get started!
Here are some of our favorite moments of 2011:
Megan:
This was an amazing year for A Southern Soiree. It was a year of excitement, change, and growth in many ways. I have said many times that my favorite part about what we do is working with so many unique couples and creating such different and personalized events for each family, It’s hard for me to pick a favorite moment from all of these events but I want to give a special thank you to each of the brides that booked A Southern Soiree. You invited us into your families and let us be a part of one of the most important days of your lives and for that we are all so grateful. I felt excitement on each of your wedding days and I hope you know how much we genuinely appreciated you giving us the opportunity to plan your special day.
Kailey:
Although there were several great moments of 2011, I will have to say that my most favorite moment was when a wedding of mine was chosen to be featured in the wedding blog, Style Me Pretty. This was my favorite moment not only because it was featured in the blog, but also because the wedding took place in my hometown of Salisbury, North Carolina, which made it even more special to me!
Gina:
Even though I’ve been working with A Southern Soiree for a little over two months, I’ve had a whirlwind of exciting moments. I think the one that sticks out in my mind was my second wedding when the groom surprised his bride with a helicopter exit. It was such an adrenaline rush working that night, trying to keep it a secret from everyone. When the time came to get everyone outside for the landing, I had the biggest smile on my face. That was the closest I have ever been to a helicopter and it was hilarious watching everyone’s reaction.
Melissa:
This summer I interned at A Southern Soiree and that in itself was memorable. If I had to choose one moment though, I think it would be Maggie and RT’s wedding. I think it was very memorable because this was my first wedding with A Southern Soiree, plus the night started out with a huge snake that terrified us to walk around, they combined NY and Southern styles together which included cornhole and bocce ball, and the fact that they danced to Michael Jackson’s PYT for their first dance. Take a look back at this amazing wedding!
We loved all of our 2011 brides…here are some of our favorite photos:
This year would not have been possible without the help of some amazing wedding vendors. Thank you to everyone we have worked with this past year and can’t wait to work with everyone again in 2012.
