Elisabeth and Bernie were married in June at St. John’s Episcopal Church and the reception was held at Highland Country Club in Fayetteville, NC. I met with Elisabeth and her mom last August and we worked together to create a beautiful event that was exactly what they had envisioned for the wedding day!
Although the wedding was in Fayetteville, we contracted some great vendors that came from the Triangle area and helped make Elisabeth and Bernie’s day very special. First off, we booked the band, The Remedy, and they were spectacular! The guys were easy to work with, professional, and played a great variety of music that kept people out on the dance floor the whole night. A great band that can not only play good music but stick to a timeline is a planner’s dream and I can’t wait to work with these guys again!
For decor, we rented some beautiful linens and chivari chairs from CE Rental that really popped within reception room. Tre Bella (located in Durham) provided the fabulous, summery floral arrangements for this wedding. Some of the other details that made the wedding unique include a gelato bar from Sugarland (Chapel Hill) and the signature drink of mini-mojitos that were were passed during the cocktail hour. We also rented a photobooth from Shutterbooth which is always a big hit at weddings! Thank you to Elisabeth’s mom, Mary Flagg, for the great review she wrote on Google of her experience working with A Southern Soiree:
“What a wonderful experience my daughter’s wedding was, thanks to Megan. This being my only daughter’s wedding, I wanted everything to be special. Megan helped us along the way and was so great to work with. I’m so glad I chose to purchase the full service package from her. Even though it meant she had to travel out of town several times to meet with us, she was always so willing to do so. I was able to fully enjoy the ceremony and reception and she took care of all the details. Thanks so much Megan!”
Below are a selection of images by Exum Photography from Elisabeth and Bernie’s big day! Enjoy!

Great picture of the bride and bridesmaids getting ready...during the ceremony, Elisabeth wore a veil that has been passed down for generations within her family.

This one makes me laugh..I believe I was giving Elisabeth a last minute pep talk before she went walked down the aisle about what to do when she got down there!

Ok, so this was really neat... the photographer did a same day edit of a selection of images from earlier that day and did a slideshow of them for the guests at the end of the night. It was a big hit and great way to end the night!
Congrats to Elisabeth and Bernie…we wish you a lifetime of happiness!
