As I write this article, I am still coming off of the amazing feeling of having one of our weddings featured on the wedding blog mecca known as StyleMePretty! Yesterday, Maggie and RT’s May 21st wedding was one of the featured weddings on the site and we were so excited we could hardly stand it!! I had to wait until the feature was posted to share this blog post and so here it is:
I met Maggie and RT back in January of this year when they were home visiting Maggie’s family for the holidays. Maggie’s parents live in Carrboro, NC but Maggie and RT both live in New York City. Maggie and RT met when they both attended Duke University for their undergraduate studies. Maggie and RT told me that they wanted a super fun party where all of their guests (who would be traveling from out of town) would have an amazing and memorable North Carolina wedding experience. They had a lot of wonderful ideas on how to bring the city to the country and had gotten permission from some dear friends of theirs to host the reception on their farm. Some of the ideas included a pie bar instead of a wedding cake, traditional NC BBQ and all the fixins’ for their meal, cornhole and bocce ball during the cocktail hour, and fireworks and a bonfire to end the night.
When we started talking about vendors, I knew immediately which ones would be a great fit for this unique wedding. Robin Lin was the perfect photographer to capture all of these fabulous details and here are just a FEW of my favorite images from the day. Please check out the entire gallery of images on our StyleMePretty Feature:

Maggie's jaw-dropping Anne Barge wedding dress came from Kleinfeld's in NYC (where "Say Yes to the Dress" is filmed)! It fit her like a glove and she looked stunning in it!

Maggie and her bridesmaids... the clutches you see were handmade by one of her bridesmaids who makes them for a living!

This was the seating chart for the wedding. It was designed to be like the NYC Subway and each table was a different stop!

Once guests got to their seat a menu/welcome card and a unique NYC postcard awaited them!
Thanks to these wonderful vendors for making this wedding a show stopper:
