Annie and Erik were married on May 28th of this year and we are just now getting around to sharing some of their awesome images from Jessi Ringer of 5 Rings Photo. Annie and Erik met during a performance at the Cape Fear Regional Theater in Fayetteville, North Carolina and this same theater was where Erik proposed to Annie! They both are very involved with acting, so they wanted the theater to play a part in their wedding which is why they chose to have their wedding ceremony at the Forest Theater on the campus of the UNC- Chapel Hill.
Annie was planning the wedding primarily from NYC where she and Erik were living earlier this year (they have since relocated back to NC) so she told us she was looking for a local coordinator to help pull everything together for the big day! We always enjoyed our meetings with Annie when she was in town because she was so expressive, happy, and full of life!
Annie and Erik really made their wedding day about them which is always great to see! They had their dear friend and mentor, Bo Thorpe, officiate the ceremony… Bo was the person that introduced Annie and Erik to one another at the theater. Annie and Erik also had several of their close friends and family play a role in their ceremony… one particularly sweet moment was when Erik’s dad sang during the ceremony and we must say, he did an amazing job! Their sweet dog, Penny Lane, even made an appearance in the ceremony, which was very special for them!
All the guests had an amazing time at their reception that was held on the front lawn of the beautiful Carolina Inn. There was a lot of dancing (thanks to the Atlanta Party Band) and lots of laughing and we were excited that we could be a part of their wedding. Check out a few more of these amazing images from their special day!

This was the neatest guest book idea we have seen in awhile! The guests were asked to leave their "signature" on a blank canvas. It turned out great and everyone loved it!
Thank you to Annie for the great review she wrote on WeddingWire about her experience working with with us:
“Megan and Kailey did an excellent job helping me to finalize plans for my big day! Though they were hired as weekend coordinators, they went above and beyond, offering advice and answering questions involving any unfinished planning months before our wedding day. About a week before our wedding, Kailey took over all contact with my vendors so that I could just relax and enjoy my final week of engagement. When our big weekend finally arrived, Kailey and her assistant were ROCK STARS in literally taking care of everything! And by everything, I even mean the hail storm that came through on Friday and FLOODED our ceremony site with 4 feet of water! But Kailey remained calm and optimistic, calling plumbers to have the water pumped out (HA!)- By Saturday, the water was gone and we had our DREAM outdoor wedding! At the reception, Kailey and her team pampered my husband and me, bringing us food and drinks to our sweetheart table all night long! We didn’t have to worry about a thing and were able to truly enjoy every second of our wedding and reception!
As someone who likes to be in charge and plan every detail, A Southern Soiree did an EXCELLENT job honoring all of my original intentions when taking over the weekend of. They had a very clear idea of what my vision was and made it happen 100%!!! Thank you A Southern Soiree!!!”
We loved working with Annie and Erik and wish them both the best! Congratulations Annie and Erik!
