Sunny and Isaac were definitely one of the most creative and unique couples that we have ever had the pleasure of working with to help them plan their big day! Sunny found us at The Umstead wedding show back in 2009 and their wedding took place in October 2010.
The ceremony was held at the Meredith College Amphitheater and the reception took place at Marbles Kids Museum. There were so many amazing details to this wedding that it’s hard to narrow them down. I can’t even begin to include enough pictures in this post to showcase everything! If I had to pick my top five favorite details, they would be: 1) All of their amazing signage (including their invitations, table assignment cards, and other signage throughout the reception), 2) The buttons that they had for their guests when they entered the reception (Sunny ordered these online at: www.wackybuttons.com, 3) The Muglies (Sunny and Isaac collected mugs for months from various locations (Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc) and they had these available at the wedding reception for their guests to drink out of and take home at the end of the night…so fun! 4) The menu: Breakfast for dinner! Rocky Top Hospitality did an amazing job.. my favorite food item of the night was definitely the pumpkin pancakes! 5) The card monster (you’ll see his picture below).
Here are some of our favorite pictures from the event… April with Evoke Photography did an amazing job of capturing all the details of this fabulous event!

These were the buttons that were waiting for the guests when they entered the reception... the guests LOVED them!

Instead of traditional place cards, check out this board they put together to let their guests know where they would be seated. The pictures up top spell out "Welcome"!

Sunny and Isaac being introduced into their reception. See all those paper lanterns? The Southern Soiree staff hung every single one of those!

These muglies were a huge hit! Each mug was unique and the guests were drinking out of them all night!

Each table was a different name and this one was titled "Love". Sunny and Isaac used a different engagement picture for each table.

Sunny and Isaac has a brunch menu for their evening wedding. Shrimp and Grits was one of the butler-passed items during the cocktail hour. Deeeelicious!

Here's an overhead shot of the reception... as you can tell, this wedding had a big dancing crowd! DJ Joe Bunn kept them dancing through the very last song!

All the guests loved the photobooth and the props that came with it. This is one of Sunny's bridesmaids after taking some pictures in the booth.

Here's Sunny dancing with her bridesmaids! She switched into a more dance-friendly dress at the reception.. and of course she put her converse shoes on...A Sunny signature item!

Sunny and Isaac love Krispy Kreme doughnuts (who doesn't?!) and they had these doughnuts as a late night favor for guests to take at the end of the reception!
Thank you so much to Sunny and Isaac for letting the Southern Soiree team be a part of your very special wedding day! We enjoyed every minute and every small detail! I leave you all with my favorite picture of the day:
