Lauren and Shawn were an amazing couple to work with, they had so many ideas and I think they really enjoyed the planning process. Lauren was also an extremely busy bride, so I spent alot of time finalizing things with her mom and dad, two of the sweetest people I have met in a long time. I am so lucky to be blessed with such wonderful clients!
Lauren and Shawn were married at Longview in downtown Raleigh (one of my favorite places, because I was married there!). It was a beautiful ceremony officiated by Shawn’s brother. I love it when my couple’s use someone close to them to marry them, it’s such a great touch! Lauren was a member of the UNC Loreleis and a few of them sang during the ceremony, another great touch! The church looked gorgeous that time of day and the amazing florals from Fresh Affairs, didn’t hurt much either! After they said “I do!”, guests headed over to the Capital City Club.
After pictures, we all headed over to the club to meet and mingle. Lauren and Shawn love Coldplay and used their music for all their introductions, very cool. After the dances, everyone sat down and enjoyed a delicious plated meal by the chefs at the Capital City Club. After dinner, we cut the beautiful cake by Sweet Memories and started off the dancing with a mother/daughter dance. Another great touch! Everyone spent the rest of the evening dancing the night away. The best was when Shawn busted out his “Thriller” moves, so funny!
Once again, another great couple and a great wedding. I love my job! Congrats, Lauren and Shawn!
