Shannon and Allen were another amazing couple that we sent down the aisle at the end of May this year. As you can tell Shannon is so gorgeous, a photographers dream! Walters and Walters photographed this wedding and as you can tell, they did a fabulous job!
I instantly connected with Shannon when we met, she is so trendy and fun! Shannon and Allen wanted a very southern, vintage wedding so it was a no brainer to send them to Highgrove. From the beginning, Vicky and Angela were on the ball and made sure everything was exactly as Shannon and Allen wanted.
Shannon and Allen were married overlooking the lake at Highgrove and let me tell you, it was hot! Everyone was amazing in dealing with the heat, and their wasn’t one complaint! Fresh Affairs provided amazing florals that fit with exactly what Shannon envisioned. Balls of hydrangeas lined the aisle with floating candles and we had a gorgeous altar arrangement to frame the ceremony. Shannon’s friend sang a beautiful version of “To Make You Feel My Love” by Garth Brooks, one of my favorite songs! After Shannon and Allen were officially hitched, guests moved into the tent at Highgrove. To continue with the theme we had butter bengaline linens topped with an antique lace overlay from CE Rentals. The florals were in varying antique white pots and each guest received a mini version filled with wildflowers and hand painted with their monogram.
After dinner, Shannon and Allen cut the cake, a yummy 4 tier with pearl accents from Sweet Memories. Randy, from Bunn DJ Company, kept guests on the dance floor all night long! Randy was a trooper, he also provided ceremony music and I’m surprised he didn’t pass out from heat stroke during the ceremony! After tons of dancing we moved everyone outside for Shannon and Allen’s departure through a shower of sparklers. They were whisked away in a vintage car from Capital Style. Overall, it was a wonderful event and I’m sad to see them go! Congrats Shannon and Allen!
