Amy and Aaron were married in Fayetteville, NC a few months ago and I’ve just now gotten around to getting the photos to blog them! They had a beautiful ceremony at St John’s Episcopal in downtown Fayetteville. I really love ceremonies in historic churches because they have so much character! We were afraid Amy may not make it down the aisle because she sprained her ankle coming out of the limo, but she was a trooper and was determined to walk down that aisle! So take note, future brides, be very careful getting out of your limos! All of our gorgeous photos were taken by Dara Blakeley of Dara Blakeley Photography. She did a phenomenal job on the photos and is so much fun to work with!
The reception took place at Gatesfour Country Club in Fayetteville. Amy chose pink, green and black as her colors, so we brought in beautiful green pintuck linens for guest seating and hot pink for the cocktails from Classic Party Rentals in Raleigh. The bride loved martinis, so as guests entered they were greeted with very green apple martinis. Also, the couple gave martini shakers filled with green jelly beans as favors but also doubled as place cards. Very cute!
The couple didn’t just want a wedding cake they also wanted cheesecake. So a friend of the family made every flavor of cheesecake you can imagine (my favorite was the red velvet) and they were a huge hit! I love couples who think outside the box and get creative with traditions. After dinner, the party really got started as the Central Park Band had the crowd on their feet all night long! Another fabulous event and another wonderful couple down the aisle, congrats Amy and Aaron!
