I am reposting Laura and Kevins’s wedding with professional pics this time! So enjoy!
Laura and Kevin were married in Duck at
The Saltaire in the Outer Banks on May 10th.
Mary Basnight was our photographer and she did a gorgeous job with the photos! She did an amazing job of capturing all the details, which is obviously important to me. I LOVE doing weddings in the Outer Banks because I personally think it is so beautiful, especially in the Northern areas. Duck and Corolla have so much character and you can not help but be relaxed when you are there!
Back to Kevin and Laura! They wanted a great coastal wedding for their friends and family and really wanted everyone to be able to have a vacation as well as attend their wedding. Friends and family rented out all the surrounding beach houses and made it a big party! You could really feel how close everyone was and how much they enjoyed spending time together. The wedding took place on the front lawn of The Saltaire. Leslie from
Club Violin provided the beautiful ceremony music. Part of the theme for the wedding was starfish, so we used starfish as pew markers for a fun touch. As guests arrived they were greeted with pink lemonade waiting on the guest book table. The bridesmaids wore a beautiful blue color that has now officially become my favorite! Laura’s dress was to die for, it was exactly what she wanted and she looked stunning in it.
After the wedding, guests moved to the tent for the reception where the menu was all southern food! Fried chicken, pork, fried green tomatoes, mac and cheese, and cornbread, this is my kind of menu! 1587 in Manteo provided all the catering and cooked everything on site. They did an amazing job and everything was delicious. Renee with Blooms Design Studio created low, long centerpieces with lots of pinks and greens that really popped off the white linens. After the sun went down, the tent glowed with all the candles and the pink lighting. The yummy, let me say it again, YUMMY cake was provided by Just Desserts by Melinda Gregory. Not only did it taste good, but it looked gorgeous as well. After the wedding was over, Laura and Kevin headed off to the Sanderling to sleep ๐ and Laura’s mom, Ann, the caterers and I just sat in the kitchen and laughed and had a great time. It is always such a joy to work with people like Laura, Kevin and Ann who are just amazing people. Best wishes to Laura and Kevin!
