Jill and Joe were married at the Duke Chapel on April 26th. They are such a sweet couple and I truly enjoyed spending their special day with them! For those of you wanting to get married at the Chapel, especially in the high season, be aware that you will probably have to camp out to get your date, which is exactly what Jill did. It is so worth it though! Hearing the organs play and watching her walk down the aisle, I got a little teary eyed! James Walters and Katherine Stamey with Walters and Walters caught every second of the beautiful ceremony. The Duke Chapel echoes quite a bit, but Katherine and James were like ninjas, you could barely see or hear them running all over the place, catching every shot! I have a special spot in my heart for Walters and Walters since they shot my own wedding.
After the ceremony, everyone headed to Treyburn Country Club where they enjoyed a yummy lunch. Eileen from Treyburn, was fabulous to work with, her and her staff were on the ball! Mel Day from Dogwood Tree Floral made all the beautiful centerpieces and bouquets. Jill and Joe’s friends and family were very laid back and really enjoyed hanging out on the beautiful veranda overlooking Treyburn. A popular trend right now is after parties and Jill and Joe decided to carry on their party afterwards. Jill made these adorable lollipops with a tag telling guests where to meet them for the after party and Joe made the cutest clay figurines that hung out with the lollipops 🙂 It was really cute, I will definitely remember those!
