A Summer Wedding at Carolina Grove

THE VISION

Brittany and Ben's August wedding celebrated the couple's shared interest in the outdoors, while staying true to the elegant and radiant vision that Brittany had been dreaming of.

The entire day was one of casual elegance and fun, including a competition for the best wedding party intro skit and a late night Bananas Foster station. As the sun set below the trees, guests danced the night away under the spectacular trailing lights.

THE DETAILS

While our goal was to produce a stylized and timeless event, we made sure to infuse the design with custom details that represented Brittany and Ben. By incorporating the trails across the United States that they have hiked together as table numbers, we added the personal touches that kept the event approachable and true to the couple.

Their seating chart was inspired by National Parks Signage and we used hiking trails instead of table numbers to direct guests to their seats.

Hydrangeas were another recurring theme throughout the wedding, from the stationery suite to bar menus. Wicker baskets suspended over the outdoor bar were filled with Oakleaf hydrangeas.

We added a level of formality to the wooden farm tables through layered placesettings, while accenting with black cutlery to include a touch of modern flare that balanced the overall design of the tablescape.
